Remote Equipment, a young California company founded by designer Philip de los Reyes, has posted its first project on the Kickstarter crowdfunding site — a versatile everyday backpack called ALPHA 31. The presented backpack is made of laminated and reinforced synthetic material Dimension Polyant, which has high wear resistance and water resistance. Inside the backpack, a less dense nylon lining is used in a contrasting white color. A dense sheet of polyethylene is used to form the back frame. The design of the ALPHA 31 30-litre urban backpack (54 x 29 x 20 cm, 1.45 kg) includes a main compartment with three access points, an internal general-purpose pocket and a fastening for a drinking system, a top compartment for documents, frontal vertical compartment with two compartments, as well as side open pockets made of elastic compression material. On the outside of the backpack, there are also adjustable compression straps, a reinforced transport handle and loops for fixing various equipment (trekking poles, ice axes, tripods, etc.).

To successfully launch the backpack into production, the project needs to raise at least $30,000, and more than $14,000 has already been raised. At the moment, ALPHA 31 backpacks are offered in a completely black color and in a combined version with MultiCam Black camo. The minimum cost of placing an order, excluding shipping, is $ 279, shipping orders will begin as early as August 2018.
