Ontario Knife Company recently introduced a new version of its legendary OKC RAT Model I knife, the novelty has acquired a Tactical Assisted Opening spring closer and is called the OKC RAT 1A SP Opener. In turn, the brand Magnum by Böker presented a model of a folding pocket knife under the commercial name Ontario RAT-1A, which repeats the shape of the model from OKC and is complemented by a spring closer.
The OKC RAT 1A SP Opener and Ontario RAT-1A knives are completely identical, they have the same dimensions and are made from the same materials. The total length of the knife is almost 216 mm, the length of the blade reaches 89 mm, the maximum thickness on the butt is 2.8 mm. The total weight of the knife does not exceed 140 grams. The blade is made of corrosion-resistant steel AUS 8, hardness is declared — 55-56 HRC. The black textured grips are made from G-10 material.
The Ontario Knife Company is pricing the OKC RAT 1A SP Opener at $82, Magnum by Böker’s Ontario RAT-1A is $82. In some online stores of official OKC dealers, it is already possible to pre-order the knife, excluding shipping, for 31-33 US dollars.
