American knife brand Camillus Cutlery has expanded its collection of everyday folding pocket knives with three new models from a relatively budget category. The manufacturer presents models Camillus Cuda Bolt, Camillus Arvo, Camillus Bombat, all three new items are positioned as durable, utilitarian and inexpensive knives for everyday wear, the models differ both in general design and materials used.
Model Camillus Bombat, the most compact of the range, features a 57mm blade made of 2.7mm 420 stainless steel (52-55 HRC) that is removed with a flipper or pegs and secured with a steel liner. The handle is formed by steel liners and textured grips made of glass-reinforced nylon. The total length of the open knife is slightly more than 152 mm, when folded it is 95 mm. The weight of the novelty is about 100 grams.
Jackknife Camillus Arvo also provides for a folding blade made of 2.7 mm steel grade 420 (52-55 HRC), while the length of the blade is 76.2 mm, and the total length of the open knife is about 191 mm. The spring-loaded blade is removed exclusively by a flipper and is fixed with a Liner-Lock type lock. The length of the handle, which includes overlays from Micarta, is not less than 114 mm. The weight of this model borders on the mark of 127 grams.
Small pocket knife Camillus Cuda Bolt equipped with a 70mm blade made of 2.7mm 440C steel (57-59 HRC), also with the addition of a Carbonitride Titanium coating, and provides a handle made of steel liners and an overlay of glass-reinforced nylon. The blade is removed only with steel pins, and is fixed with an Axis Lock. The total length of the open knife is 171 mm, when folded it is only 101 mm. The weight of the knife is not more than 118 grams.
The presented models of folding pocket knives are currently offered in only one color option. A small Camillus Bombat knife is priced at almost $18, while Camillus Arvo and Camillus Cuda Bolt cost $28 and $33, respectively.
