This month, Casio launched the new G-Shock GW-B5600 shockproof watch series in Japan, which builds on the more premium flagship G-Shock GMW-B5000 series, combining a familiar and familiar design with a new, more modern feature set. There are only three models in the series so far — these are completely black GW-B5600BC-1B, black and yellow GW-B5600BC-1 and black and blue GW-B5600-2, while the latter, in addition to colors, also differ in a more budgetary strap.
The G-Shock GW-B5600 watch series includes a Multi-Band 6 radio synchronization system, a Tough Solar solar battery with a built-in battery level indicator, and a G-Shock Smartphone Link (Bluetooth) module that allows you to quickly and automatically synchronize with your phone within 2 meters (automatic time setting, creating notifications, displaying the battery level, searching for a phone). Among the basic functions, the ability to display time in 12/24-hour format, an automatic calendar, a stopwatch, a countdown timer and several alarms is announced. The data is displayed in several languages (English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Russian).
Shockproof and waterproof (20 Bar, 200 m) G-Shock GW-B5600 watch is made in a protective polymer case, which is complemented by a stainless steel caseback and mineral glass that protect the monochrome LCD display. The total dimensions of the case do not exceed 48.9 mm in length, 42.8 mm in width and 13.4 mm in thickness, the total weight of the watch is about 53-85 grams. The GW-B5600BC-1B and GW-B5600BC-1 watches use a combined polyurethane and metal strap, while the more budget-friendly GW-B5600-2 uses a relatively conventional polyurethane strap with a metal buckle.
The estimated cost of the GW-B5600BC-1B and GW-B5600BC-1 will be around $228, while the GW-B5600-2 will be priced at around $185. The G-Shock GW-B5600 series has already begun to go on sale, but so far only in the Japanese market.
