In addition to the previously presented demi-season boots for hiking in different conditions, including mountain ones, the Italian company Asolo has prepared a number of relatively lightweight models for hiking and speed hiking for the spring of 2020. Among the key innovations are the Cerium GV and Grid GV models, the latter is offered in two shaft heights, and is based on models from the Landscape GV series..
The Cerium GV hiking boots model can be attributed to the flagship direction of the brand, created on the Asolo Radiant platform, where the Finder GV, Drifter GV, Patrol GV and more are also presented. The upper part of the novelty is made mainly of water-resistant natural suede, which is complemented by inserts of nylon of different density and structure, as well as protective overlays of rigid TPU. Inside, a lining mesh, Gore-Tex Performance Comfort membrane and an anatomical Asolo Lite 2 insole are used.
The outsole of the Cerium GV Series boots, which average around 1140 grams, is based on Vibram’s Duo Radiant outsole, made from a grippy MegaGrip TPU blend. In addition, the outsole is formed by a flexible arch support and an intermediate shock-absorbing layer of dual-density EVA foam.
The Grid GV series boots and low shoes stand out with their lightweight, low profile and well ventilated construction. The upper of the new shoe is made mainly of reinforced polyester material, which is supplemented on the outside with a protective frame made of microfiber and flexible thermopolyurethane of different densities. Inside, a lining mesh, Gore-Tex Extended Comfort membrane and Asolo A-Sport anatomical insole are used.
The outsole of the Grid GV models, called A-Sport, stands out for its versatile and grippy tread pattern, made by Vibram from a grippy MegaGrip blend. The intermediate shock-absorbing layer forms a layer of EVA foam. The average weight of a pair of boots with an average shaft height is 800 grams, while the low version has an average weight of no more than 600 grams.
The Asolo Cerium GV hiking boots will be available in two color options, both men’s and women’s, with free sales due to start in the second half of February. The Asolo Grid GV models will only go on sale in April 2020 and will be available in at least three color options to choose from.
