The well-known American knife brand Gerber has announced the release of the Downrange Tomahawk, which will be part of the Military series, the new ax is designed as a lightweight and multi-tasking tool for defense, infiltration and evacuation. In a multitool, weighing only 860 grams, the manufacturer combined a functional ax, hammer and crowbar.
The Downrange Tomahawk is constructed from hardened 420HC stainless steel and finished with a KG Gun-kote wear-resistant finish. The grips are made of G10 Desert Tan. The total length of the tool is 490 mm. Ax Downrange Tomahawk will be supplied with a plastic sheath, with a universal mounting system, including MOLLE. The recommended retail price is $280, the start date of sales of new items has not yet been disclosed.
