German brand Hanwag recently introduced a new series of low-top hiking shoes called the Burang, which are now available in men’s and women’s versions. The Burang is positioned as a durable and lightweight shoe with a classic style, based on the Rotpunkt Approach Shoe, but with different materials and lower weight..

The top of the Hanwag Burang touring sneaker is made from a combination of natural leather with G-1000 Heavy Duty canvas material (65% polyester, 35% cotton) from the eminent Swedish brand Fjällräven, as well as a layer of rubber that protects the bottom of the sneaker. The lining is made using soft genuine leather and a voluminous vapor-permeable mesh.

The Hanwag Burang outsole has a multi-level design and consists of a flexible arch support, a shock-absorbing EVA layer, an intermediate layer of polyurethane foam and a Vibram Crack Low TPU outsole.

The new Hanwag Burang hiking shoes are currently only available in all black for both men and women. The total weight of a pair of medium-sized men’s sneakers does not exceed 730 grams. The recommended retail price is declared within 180 euros.
