Fenix Lighting today introduced a small, lightweight and portable charger called the Fenix ARE-X11, which is based on the Fenix ARE-X1 and is designed exclusively to work with 18650 Li-ion batteries. It can be used to charge third-party portable devices, for charging a directly installed battery using compatible USB sources, including solar panels, laptop ports, and others.
The Fenix ARE-X11 Portable Charger is made primarily from polymer of various densities and textures, including a translucent protective cover that covers the battery. The overall dimensions of the device, which can be operated without problems at temperatures ranging from -20°C to 50°C degrees, do not exceed 104 mm in length, 30 mm in width and 25 mm in thickness, the weight of charging without a battery does not exceed 41 grams. In addition to charging with an integrated cable, the package includes a battery of the ARB-L18-3500 series, which has a declared capacity of 3500 mAh.
Functionally portable charger of the Fenix ARE-X11 series provides integrated protection against short circuit, reverse polarity, protection against overvoltage and overheating, overdischarge, overcharge. Four small blue LEDs inform about the battery charge level, as well as the progress of the charge. The device is charged via the MicroUSB input port (5V/1A), while third-party devices are charged via a standard USB port (5V/1A).
The Fenix ARE-X11 Series Portable Charger is currently only available with a battery pack and has a suggested retail price of $44, with select retailers already accepting pre-orders for as low as $35 per set. Free sales should begin on May 16, 2018. >
