At the specialized knife exhibition Blade Show 2017, which will be held this week, the American brand Gerber Gear, among other novelties, will present a new limited series of folding knives — G1 Series and the first knife in the line G1-001, based on the Propel AO collection. The blade of the Gerber G1-001 folding knife has a combined structure, Hitachi Blue (Blue Super) carbon steel is wrapped in AISI 410 martensitic stainless steel. The handle of the knife is almost entirely made of elements that are made of titanium alloy, including smooth outer linings and a spacer.

For quick and easy removal of the blade, a spring-loaded push-button mechanism with a fuse and a latch is provided. The design of the handle includes a lanyard attachment and a removable clip that can be installed in different positions, including under the left hand. The total length of the open knife is about 216 mm, when closed it is no more than 128 mm, the length of the blade itself is almost 89 mm.

The first batch of Gerber G1-001 folding knives will be sold in a limited edition of 20 pieces and will be priced at $500 per set. The knife comes in a durable Pelican box.
