In addition to the updated Drifter Evo GV and Patrol GV boots, this season’s Radiant platform, on which many of Asolo’s modern hiking boots are built, will be supplemented by the Greenwood GV, Valley GV and Finder GV men’s models. The presented models are made on the same last and have an identical sole design, the main differences are only in appearance, as well as in the materials used both to create the upper part of the shoe and to form the lining.
The Greenwood GV hiking boots are made in a relatively classic style, the upper is made mainly of waterproof Perwanger genuine leather with a thickness of 2.2-2.4 mm. In the Valley GV and Finder GV models, the upper is created by combining 1.6-1.8 mm natural waterproof suede with durable Cordura nylon material. The Greenwood GV and Valley GV versions use a Gore-Tex Performance Comfort series membrane to form the lining, while the Finder GV will use a more breathable Gore-Tex Extended Comfort membrane.
The soles of the Greenwood GV, Valley GV and Finder GV hiking boots are based on the midsole of the Asolo Radiant series, which consists of two full-length layers of medium and low density EVA foam, which significantly increases comfort and partially reduces overall weight. The average weight of a pair of boots is stated to be 1352, 1200 and 1092 grams, respectively. In addition, the outsole is formed by a Vibram outsole made of tenacious MegaGrip TPU material.
The announced Greenwood GV, Valley GV and Finder GV hiking boots will initially be available in three colorways to choose from, with the Finder GV version also available in a women’s version. The recommended retail price for the Finder GV and Valley GV boots is set at 145 and 170 euros, respectively, while the almost all-leather Greenwood GV boots are priced at 190 euros.
