The popular American brand KA-BAR Knives has released a new budget knife with enhanced functionality, the novelty is called 3085 Coypu Folder, and is designed mainly for everyday wear in the city. The manufacturer will single out a new folding model, which is produced in China, as a convenient, balanced, durable and utilitarian pocket knife with an integrated sling cutter and glass breaker.
The blade of the new knife is made of stainless steel grade 5Cr15, the hardness of which, according to the manufacturer, corresponds to the parameter in the range of 53-56 units on the HRC scale. The knife handle is a combination of steel liners, smooth aluminum treads and black textured G10 composite grips. To fix the pads, steel bolts are used for a standard torx slot.
To extract the blade 3085 Coypu Folder, only ordinary pegs are provided, the blade is fixed with a standard Liner-Lock type lock. The design of the handle, among other things, also provides for a removable clip, glass breaker and a separate blade for cutting belts. The full length of the open knife reaches 222 mm, the folded length does not exceed 127 mm, the blade length is slightly more than 95 mm, the width is 25 mm, and the maximum thickness on the butt is about 2.9 mm. The weight of the knife is stated at 204 grams.
