Leupold & Stevens, a well-known American manufacturer of binoculars, optical, collimator and telescopic sights of various types, has introduced its own line of Leupold Performance Eyewear protective everyday glasses, which protect organs from both UV radiation and possible mechanical damage. To date, five models have already been presented, namely Becnara, Katmai, Packout, Switchback and Tracer.
Between themselves, the models differ in the general design of lenses and frames, as well as the presence or absence of the possibility of quick replacement of lenses. All glasses shown are manufactured to ANSI Z87.1+ standards, including frames and temples that are made from TR90 resin. To create a two-layer lens, ballistic polycarbonate is used, as well as In-Fused technology, which allows you to place a polarized film between the lens layers.
Models Becnara and Katmai were created in a classic style, and are mainly intended for everyday wear. The design of Packout and Switchback goggles was designed primarily for shooters and hunters. The glasses fit snugly and have an increased viewing angle. The Tracer version, which features an open frame, is also aimed primarily at shooters, and stands out for its interchangeable lenses. The set comes with additional clear and yellow lenses.
Leupold Performance Eyewear goggles are available in a variety of frame styles and lens colors. Suggested retail prices start at $129 for the Katmai version and end at $190 for the Packout and Switchback models. It is possible to place an order directly on the manufacturer’s website.
