Shoe company Merrell has released a new model of lightweight and durable sneakers from the Merrell All Out trekking collection, which are designed primarily for running on rough mountainous terrain, called the All Out Terra Trail. The upper of the All Out Terra Trail model is made mainly of nylon mesh of different structures, the connecting seams are additionally reinforced with a thin and flexible layer of TPU. The neck of the sneakers has a toe-type design, fits snugly to the foot, providing reliable protection from particles inside the shoe, and is made of a denser and more elastic material. The lining of the sneakers is made mainly of voluminous soft mesh.
The sneaker is built on the new Merrell Unifly sole, which is formed by a removable insole with basic arch and heel support, which is made of flexible foam with reinforcing polyurethane overlays, a flexible shock-absorbing layer of EVA, and a streamlined outsole from Vibram, which simultaneously protects the foot, toe and heel. The outsole tread has an aggressive self-cleaning pattern of multi-directional studs up to 6 mm high and with the possibility of attaching carbide studs. The difference in height between the heel and toe is not more than 6 mm.
The new Merrell All Out Terra Trail shoes are available in multiple colorways, men’s and women’s, and have a suggested retail price of $120. The total weight of a medium-sized men’s pair does not exceed 598 grams.
