To mark its 40th anniversary, Patagonia released the original Legacy Collection for the fall/winter season, featuring several classic pieces of clothing and equipment, including the Post Foamback Cagoule hooded anorak. The design of the mountain jacket was first developed by British mountaineers in the 60s..
Despite the fact that the Post Foamback Cagoule jacket is made in an old-fashioned design, the materials used to create it are exclusively modern. The jacket is made entirely of two-layer GORE-TEX PacLite material, which has a durable and water resistant rip-stop nylon outer layer with additional protective ePTFE treatment, and a membrane layer on the inside.
The cut of the jacket has a voluminous storm hood with adjustments, a high collar and a large karma-envelope in front. The Post Foamback Cagoule is currently only available in yellow for $350.
