In addition to the new Magma S line, the Italian shoe company Tecnica plans to expand its Origin running shoe collection, which is currently available in the Origin LT and Origin XT versions, with the new Origin LD series in the spring of 2021. The novelty, which is also designed for cross-country running, differs in the materials of the upper, as well as partially in the sole, mainly with an increased thickness of the intermediate layer..
The upper of the new model has a seamless and elastic structure, which is made of a combination of polyamide and polyester fibers. According to the manufacturer, the Origin LD upper provides higher breathability and dries quickly. High wear areas are reinforced with thin TPU pads. Inside, there are special overlays and an anatomical insole compatible with CAS (Custom Adaptive Shape) technology.
The outsole of the Origin LD (340g) features a similar tread pattern as the base versions, but is now built with Litebase technology, using Megagrip grip and an external stabilizing element to create the necessary torsional brutality. The midsole, which is predominantly made of EVA, has become thicker, which should positively affect the overall level of vertical shock absorption and comfort.
The new Tecnica Origin LD running shoe will go on sale next spring and will be available in men’s and women’s versions in a variety of color combinations. The estimated cost of new items is about 170 euros.
