For this fall/winter season, Under Armor has expanded its collection of hunting boots with a new 8-inch series with the commercial name UA Charged Raider. At the moment, the series is presented in only two versions in three colors, the UA Charged Raider Waterproof and UA Charged Raider Waterproof 600G boots. The latter is distinguished by the presence, in addition to the membrane, of Primaloft brand synthetic insulation. The average weight of a pair of boots is about 1.10 kg.
The upper part of both versions is made of dense natural leather with a water-repellent treatment, reinforced polyester in camouflage colors, as well as dense layers of TPU, which form the reinforcements of the base of the lacing system and the front welt. Inside, a waterproof membrane, lining material with a mesh structure and anatomical glass of the Ortholite brand with antibacterial treatment are used.
The sole of the UA Charged Raider boots has a three-piece structure, not counting the inner insole and dense lining. The outsole includes a flexible full-length arch support that provides torsional rigidity and puncture protection, a wide shock-absorbing layer of lightweight Charged Cushioning foam, as well as a lightweight Vibram brand outsole, made using LiteBase and Traction Lug technology from tenacious and durable MegaGrip material.
At this stage, the UA Charged Raider hunting boots are offered in three finishes, namely Ridge Reaper Barren, UA Forest 2.0 Camo and Realtree Edge. The basic version is priced at $190, the version with Primaloft brand insulation will cost $210.
