Simultaneously with the presentation of the MIG 4.0 (Medium Insulation Garment) jacket series, the Austrian brand Carinthia posted a short video demonstrating the main distinguishing features of the fourth generation of the HIG (High Insulation Garments) protective jacket. As you know, the HIG 4.0 set, consisting of a jacket and trousers, is designed for effective use in the field at temperatures not lower than -20C (subject to the correct use of heat-insulating layers).
The jacket of the HIG 4.0 set (0.9 kg) is made using Gore Windstopper brand membrane material, polyamide lining and G-LOFT insulation (torso 145 g/m2, sleeves 110 g/m2). The outer layer provides water-repellent impregnation and NIR processing. The cut features a roll-up hood, reinforced shoulder area, central zip fastening, sleeves with adjustable cuffs, six external pockets, including a fleece-lined one, and a couple of small pockets inside.
The updated insulated jacket of the Carinthia HIG 4.0 series is offered by the manufacturer in only one solid color (Olive), the recommended retail price is set at 350 euros.
