For those who are looking for something more than just a portable USB solar charger like the Ray Solar Charger. Designers Kyuho Song and Boa Oh have taken it a step further and unveiled the Window Socket Green+ prototype for the first time. The socket does not work from the mains, but from the built-in battery and solar panels on the back side.
Thanks to the suction cup, the socket can be easily fixed on the window of a car or at home. The Green+ project continues to be under development, today the battery capacity is only 1000 mAh, it takes 5-8 hours to fully charge. It is still too early to talk about the effectiveness of this invention; the date of completion of development and the possible retail price also remain unknown. via
