As part of the Adidas Consortium design project, Adidas has unveiled a new line of Sahelex running shoes inspired by hiking and climbing shoes. Offered in both men’s and women’s versions, they stand out for their lightweight and well-ventilated upper, reinforced toe and heel support, and aggressive outsole that is more typical of Terrex shoes..
The top of the Sahelex models is made with a combination of quick-drying mesh, natural leather and TPU, including reflective elements on the outside. The interior features a smooth, quick-drying lining and an anatomical foam insole with a thin layer of sweat-wicking fabric. The sole of the sneaker is formed by a combined intermediate cushioning layer of EVA foam and adiPRENE located on the heel. The outsole is made from durable Stealth rubber.
Initially, the new Adidas Consortium Sahelex sneakers, which, according to the manufacturer, will be suitable for both hiking in the summer and for everyday wear, will be available in only two color options — Clear Aqua and Sand, then the lineup will expand with four more colors of the version. The recommended retail price is set at $150.
