The well-known manufacturer of sports and casual clothing, Adidas, has recently introduced a new model of running sneakers as part of the specialized AdiZero collection. The new product, which was created with the participation of professional athletes, including Joyciline Dzhepkosgei (Joyciline Jepkosgei) and Rhonex Kipruto (Rhonex Kipruto), received the commercial name Adizero Adios Pro, and is positioned as the «fastest» sneaker in the collection.
Among the key features of the new model, the manufacturer highlights increased shock absorption due to the use of two wide layers of LightstrikePRO foam. In addition, the design uses an internal anatomical foam insole, a two-layer heel protection made of a layer of nylon and carbon, as well as profiled EnergyRods carbon rods that repeat the metatarsal bones and phalanges.
According to the developers, such a structure of the sole, in addition to effective cushioning of vertical loads, provides the necessary protection and support for the ankle joint, reduces fatigue, allowing the athlete to maintain high speed for a longer time, and also partially corrects the position and bend of the foot while running.
The upper of the new running shoe is made predominantly of a lightweight and highly ventilated mesh called CelerMesh, which is reinforced with laminated overlays at the neck and laces. Inside the shoe, a thin, translucent and quick-drying lining is used, which complements the removable anatomical insole. The average weight of AdiZero Adios Pro does not exceed 220 grams.
The new AdiZero Adios Pro running shoes are expected to go on sale June 30th with a suggested retail price of $200. It will be possible to place an order through the official online store of the company.
