German knife brand Böker has opened today to accept orders for the new Böker Aurora folding pocket knife, designed by Danish craftsman Jens Ansø. The knife will belong to the premium collection of the brand and is produced exclusively in Germany, at a factory in Solingen. The polished blade of the Böker Aurora pocket knife is made using 154CM stainless steel, the hardness of the steel is declared by the manufacturer at 58-61 HRC. The handle of the new knife is formed by profiled anodized titanium liners with a Frame-Lock type lock. The handle has a lanyard hole and a fully removable steel clip.
The total length of the open knife is at least 187 mm, when closed it is about 108 mm, the length of the blade itself is exactly 79 mm, the maximum thickness of the blade on the butt is 4 mm. The declared total weight of the product does not exceed 144 grams.
The new Böker Aurora folding pocket knife is currently only available in one design and is priced at $400 from the manufacturer.
