In addition to recent high-profile announcements in the G-Shock collection of shockproof watches, the popular Japanese company Casio has not left its more specialized ProTrek line without attention, introducing several updates in different series. Among the key updates, mostly cosmetic, we can highlight the new design options for the ProTrek PRT-B50 series, which was announced last summer, namely the PRT-B50YT-1 and PRT-B50T-7.
The presented novelties stand out both for their color scheme and for the adjustable bracelet, which is made of titanium alloy. Otherwise, the new models completely repeat the basic versions, including the relatively new Quad Sensor. The case and bezel of the watch are made of impact-resistant polymer. In addition, a stainless steel caseback and tempered mineral glass with anti-reflective treatment are used to protect the combination dial.
In the ProTrek PRT-B50, in addition to the Quad Sensor sensor, which combines a digital compass, altimeter / barometer, thermometer, three-axis accelerometer (pedometer), there is a Smartphone Link (Bluetooth) wireless communication module, a world time function, a sunrise and sunset schedule, a calendar, stopwatch, countdown timer, five alarms and LED backlight. This watch is powered by a standard CR2025 battery, which should last approximately 2 years of use.
It is expected that the PRT-B50YT-1 and PRT-B50T-7 models will go on sale in March 2020, initially in the Japanese market. The estimated cost of the presented new products will be 45,000 and 40,000 yen, or about 415 and 370 dollars, respectively.
