
The German brand Deuter is preparing for the spring of 2020 a new generation of Aircontact Pro trekking backpacks, which will be presented in different colors and two useful volume options, both in men’s (Aircontact Pro 60 + 15, Aircontact Pro 70 + 15) and more specialized women’s versions. (Aircontact Pro 55+15SL, Aircontact Pro 65+15SL). The updated models have become almost 300-400 grams lighter, received a modified unloading and hanging system and partially updated externally, without losing key functionality..

The presented backpacks are built on the basis of the updated Aircontact Pro System, which is based on profiled V-shaped aluminum battens, as well as ActiveFit, VariFlex and VariSlide systems. The damper pads are predominantly made from bulky, quick-drying mesh and internal inserts and perforated foam. As before, the system allows you to accurately fit the backpack to the anthropological properties of the user, while the system itself has become lighter and more ergonomic, especially in the area of the shoulder blades, and also provides a higher level of ventilation. Features of the system allow you to comfortably transport the load with a total weight of up to 30 kg.

Regardless of size choice, the updated Aircontact Pro backpacks feature a top compression compartment, a roomy main compartment with a hydration system attachment, a sealed pocket for small items, and multiple access points to contents including a top flap, a front flap and a separate compartment for a sleeping system. In addition, the design includes wide side pockets, a front cargo pocket, elastic pockets on the unloading belt, a variety of external attachments, a removable rain cover and a small lightweight shoulder pad.

The total weight of the male versions of Aircontact Pro 60+15 (84 x 32 x 28 cm) and Aircontact Pro 70+15 (90 x 30 x 34 cm) will be approximately 2990 and 3130 grams, the female versions of Aircontact Pro 55+15SL (82 x 30 x 28 cm) and Aircontact Pro 65+15SL (87 x 32 x 29 cm) will weigh 2900 and 3020 grams respectively. The recommended retail price for the 70-liter version is $350. Free sales should officially start closer to the spring of 2020.
