A relatively young American shoe company Forsake, which since 2013 has been developing and manufacturing various functional shoes for everyday wear and outdoors. Launching two new arrivals for spring 2020, Meridian and Cascade are lightweight and breathable hiking shoes built with VentureKnit technology, which was only introduced this year, and provides increased comfort with a snug fit of the upper to the foot, and guarantees a high level of breathability..
In addition to woven and mesh materials, natural suede leather is used to form the top of the Meridian model. The interior is lined with quick-drying mesh with an antibacterial treatment. At the same time, the Cascade model will be the first in the collection not to use real leather, but instead the mesh material will be complemented by a protective and supportive layer of TPU. The inside is lined with an antibacterial mesh and waterproof membrane.
The outsole of the new hiking/casual shoe is made up of a wide, cushioning EVA midsole and a layer of versatile and durable Peak-to-Pavement outsole made from grippy Vibram Megagrip. At the same time, the tread pattern of the sneakers is different, the Meridian version uses a low-profile and more flexible option, aimed primarily at everyday wear in city streets, while the Cascade uses a more aggressive pattern with stud heights up to 5 mm.
The new Forsake Meridian and Forsake Cascade will go on sale in the spring of 2020 and will be available in both men’s and women’s versions in different colors. The future recommended retail price is set by the manufacturer at $100 and $110, respectively. It will be possible to place an order directly through the company’s online store.
