Early next year, the American brand MSR (Mountain Safety Research) will begin selling a new ultra-efficient camping water filter, the filter will be commercially named MSR Guardian. The novelty is based on a filter that was developed in accordance with the NSF Protocol P248 standard six years ago for the needs of military personnel..
The MSR Guardian filter can work with almost any type of water, the filtration system is able to purify water from small particles, viruses, microbes and various pathogenic bacteria. The basis of the filtration system is formed by a hollow fiber membrane, which is capable of cleaning at least 10,000 liters of water of any quality. At the same time, the cleaning speed, with continuous operation of the pump, is about 2.5 liters per minute.
The advantages of the MSR Guardian filtration system include the fact that the filter does not require any additional cleaning, everything happens automatically. Approximately 10% of the fluid being completed is used to flush trapped particles back to the source, which in turn extends filter life and saves the owner hassle.
The total weight of the MSR Guardian filter is 490 grams, its dimensions do not exceed 31 cm in height and about 13 cm in diameter. The future retail price is declared by the manufacturer at the level of 350 US dollars. Sales of the new filtration system should start in January 2016, the filter will appear both in the official store and networks of official dealers, and on amazon pages.
