Trademark Arc’teryx LEAF, the military-tactical division of Arc’teryx, opened the new season with a partial website update, as well as the introduction of a new product line. In addition to the new model of the Khard 60 backpack, which we became aware of back in November 2014, the company introduced a completely new military field line LEAF Assault and several updated models of previously released products..
The presented LEAF Assault series will become part of the new Combat Uniforms collection and today consists of the Assault Shirt AR combat shirt, Recce Shirt AR tunic, Assault Pant AR field trousers, Assault Glove FR fireproof shooting gloves and Assault Balaclava FR fireproof balaclava.
To create a new line, both refractory materials and materials that do not melt at high temperatures are used. The tunic, trousers and top of the combat shirt are predominantly made using a blended material, which includes 50% cotton and 50% nylon fibers produced by the Cordura brand. Areas subject to wear are reinforced with an additional layer of Cordura. The torso of the shirt is made of a more elastic and softer fabric, consisting of 60% cotton and 40% nylon. Elbows of shirts and knees of trousers are completed with foam inserts.
The design of the Assault AR Combat Shirt features a mid-length collar with plastic buttons fastening to the mid-chest, breathable inserts under the sleeves, slightly elongated sleeves with buttoned cuffs and a vertical pocket on each shoulder. The Recce Shirt AR features a central button closure, two pairs of external chest pockets, a pair of mesh internal pockets and two shoulder pockets. The Assault Pant AR features an adjustable waistband, reinforced profiled knees, a pair of main slash pockets, an internal knife pocket, back slash pockets and a pair of patch hip pockets.
The Assault Glove FR shooting gloves are crafted with a reconciliation of leather and TenCate Defender fire retardant material. The palm is made of special Tsunami leather, which allows you to use mobile devices with a touch screen. The reverse side of the palm is made mainly of genuine goat leather. The cuff is adjustable with Velcro.
The new products are now available on Arc’teryx LEAF, offering options in both MultiCam camouflage, Crocodile, Ranger Green and Wolf solid colors. The cost of new products varies from 240 to 350 dollars. The gloves are valued at $150.
