Designers from New Balance TDS (Tokyo Design Studio) have teamed up with popular Japanese outdoor gear and apparel manufacturer Snow Peak to create the Niobium Capsule Collection, which is geared primarily towards the angler. The collection includes several different items, including fishing vests, membrane waders and multi-piece shoes.
The new collection is based on the versatile and layered TDS Niobium Concept 1 low shoes, built on the basis of the New Balance MT801 sneakers, designed for cross-country running. Low shoes provide a two-layer construction, with the ability to quickly change the inner layer-liner, as well as a quick attachment system for individual gaiters, or waders with an eVent brand membrane.
The waterproof liner will be available in two shaft heights. The inserts themselves can be used separately from the main part, as light parking slippers. An oversized liner provides more support for the foot and can be used in foothill and mountain conditions, as well as for more efficient work with gaiters and waders.
