In September of this year, the Nitecore brand plans to release its new ultra-powerful flashlight in a fairly compact design, the novelty will be available under the commercial name Nitecore TM10K Tiny Monster. According to the manufacturer, a flashlight with six LEDs and a total weight of just over 246 grams can provide up to 10,000 lumens of brightness for a short time..
The body of the flashlight is made of anodized aluminum alloy and mineral glass that protects the group of integrated LEDs. Inside the flashlight, in addition to electronic «brains», a battery and a set of LEDs, there are a number of heat-absorbing and heat-distributing blocks made of aluminum and brass. The total length of the device, which can be submerged in water to a depth of two meters (IP68) and withstand a fall from a height of one meter, is only 110 mm long, 43 mm wide and no more than 31 mm thick, the total weight of the device, taking into account the clip and batteries 246.5 grams.
The flashlight is powered by a built-in lithium-ion battery type 21700 with a capacity of 4800 mAh, battery replacement is not provided. Charging is carried out exclusively through the integrated QuickCharge 2.0 USB Type-C connector. Information about the battery charge level, temperature, operating time and activated mode is displayed on a special OLED display. The device is controlled by three buttons — one large button on the end and two buttons on the side, it is possible to block it from accidental activation, as well as partial blocking when the end button remains active.
The flashlight has six CREE XHP35 HD LEDs with a maximum total output of 10,000 lumens, an intensity of up to 20,000 candela and an effective range of up to 288 meters, while the recommended maximum brightness activation time does not exceed 7 seconds. The LEDs are complemented by lenses with a protective coating and an optical system PDOT (Precision Digital Optics Technology) with quartz processing. The flashlight provides five brightness modes, which are divided into Turbo (10000 lm., 200 m), High (1000 lm., 90 m, 2 h.), Mid (300 lm., 49 m, 7 h.), Low (100 lm, 28 m, 14 h) and Ultralow (3 lm, 5 m, 300 h).
Free sales of the new powerful flashlight Nitecore TM10K Tiny Monster should begin in mid-September 2018, the recommended retail price is announced within 300 US dollars. The package includes a carrying case, a pouch, a USB Type-C charging cable, a lanyard, a user manual and a warranty card.
