American knife brand The James Brand (TJB) has announced the imminent release of a new series of relatively small pocket knives the Clovis. The new line, which currently has only two models, is based on the Chapter models. Based on consumer feedback, the developers have made a number of changes to the design, and also added a push-button blade lock mechanism. This is the brand’s first knife with a similar blade locking mechanism..

Similar to the Chapter models, the 70mm blade on the Clovis series knives, regardless of design choice, is made of 2.8mm CPM S35VN martensitic powdered stainless steel, which is claimed to be between 58-61 HRC. The blade of the novelty, which is aimed at right-handed users, is removed exclusively with the help of a peg located on one side only, and is fixed by a push-button mechanism.

The Clovis models have smooth grips and a titanium alloy spacer, which are complemented by a removable titanium clip and steel mount, including a torx axial mount with ceramic bearings. The total length of the open knife does not exceed 165 mm, the length of the handle is exactly 95 mm, the total weight of the knife is about 102 grams.

The Clovis (Titanium Stainless, Titanium Black) new range of small folding pocket knives should go on sale in the coming days, with a suggested retail price of $399. It will be possible to place an order exclusively through the official online store of the brand.
