American knife brand The James Brand has expanded its yet sparse collection of fixed blade knives with a new model of The Hells Canyon, a relatively small and utilitarian kitchen knife aimed primarily at outdoor use. The novelty was created with the participation of Chris Cosentino (Chris Cosentino), American chef and winner of the Top Chef Masters project, and stands out both for its simplified and ergonomic design and the materials used..

The Hells Canyon full length blade is 137mm long, similar to The Hell Gap, and is made using CPM S35VN powder steel (58-61 HRC). To form the handle, profiled G10 composite material plates are used, which are available in two colors to choose from. The total length of the knife is not less than 254 mm. The total weight and maximum thickness of the blade on the butt is not yet specified by the manufacturer.

The new The Hells Canyon kitchen knife is available in two finishes (black, primer gray) and comes with a profiled Kydex thermoplastic sheath with a universal mount. The suggested retail price of the kit is $295. It is still possible to place an order only through the manufacturer’s online store.

  • The James Brand has released a new larger model of The Carter folding everyday knife, which is available in three designs.
