TIDE Eco Series — a new series of watches from Luminox

Following the new line of rugged Commando Raider 3321/3337 watches, Luminox has launched a new TIDE Eco Series watch, which stands out because it is made primarily from recycled plastic, fished from the ocean. The collection, at the moment, already has three models, these are XS.8902.ECO and XS.8903.ECO, created on the basis of the previously released limited model Bear Grylls XB.3703, as well as XS.0321.ECO, which are based on watches Leatherback Sea Turtle Giant XS.0320.

All three models are powered by the Swiss Ronda 515 HH6 quartz movement, the SR927SW battery should last for 50 months. The case and rotating bezel of the new watch are made of recycled polymer, which is complemented by a steel back and sapphire/mineral glass to protect the analog dial. On the hand, the watch is fixed with a rag strap with a steel buckle, which is also made of recycled fibers.

The functionality of the presented model is basic. In addition to the rotating bezel, the watch provides the ability to display the current time exclusively in 12-hour format, as well as a date window (day of the month near the 3 o’clock mark). For work in the dark, traditionally, there is a Super-LumiNova coating and tritium illumination Night Vision Tubes.

Models XS.8902.ECO and XS.8903.ECO are estimated by the manufacturer at $545, while XS.0321.ECO will cost $345. It is already possible to place an order for the presented novelties through the official website of Luminox. Part of the proceeds from the sale will be donated to the international non-profit organization Project AWARE.
